legal rules pertaining to photographing headstones?
I volunteer, taking pictures of cemetery headstones for people who live out of state for genealogical research, which I do free of charge. I was advised recently by a cemetery sexton to have the family requesting the photos to send him a notarized letter granting me permission to take the pictures. What, if any, rules exist pertaining to this subject nationally as well as in my state of Idaho. I appreciate your help.
Cemeteries are public places and you can take all the pics ( and video tapes ) you want Call your local police dept and they will tell you the same thing
